On this recording , RAVEN has captured the elements of his love for the NATIVE AMERICAN culture, interwoven with his own ARMENIAN heritage. Both of which , he says , share many similarities.

The music is very calming , and at times very hypnotic, but through it all the nakedness of truth washes over you , like a warm summer rain , and leaves you dancing with the joy of life .

Raven – Naked In The Rain
This would probably be considered a New Age CD, but I think it is far better than the typical music of this genre.  I like a nice and mellow CD every now and then, to relax to, but most of the New Age music these days would put me in a coma because they are so fluffy and painfully boring.  Naked In The Rain is something different. Raven's music has an American Indian and Armenian influence (interesting combination) with songs laid out in an almost storybook way.  There are some tracks that are instrumentals like "Unchain the Crane – the return home-", and "A Day Before Tomorrow – birth of a new generation-" where you can hear Raven's soulfully lone flute.  One of the most satisfying layers of his music is on track 5,  "Night Ark – A conversation with God-" where you can hear Raven's suggestion of "Amazing Grace" on flute. Other songs are layered with sound effects like chanting American Indian tribes, exotic singing (the CD says Armenian singing) and even spoken poetry on the last track, "Grow Wings to your Heart – freedom-"  I could almost see  a movie made of this CD, which says a lot about Raven's ability to tell a story. This CD was uniquely enjoyable in a genre where most of the music is made for the Yoga / Meditation crowd and not so much for listening, if you want a CD in this genre to really listen to, I suggest you give Raven's unusual but interesting style a try.
